Destination: Delhi - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur - Jodhpur
- jaisalmer - Bikaner - Deshnok - Mandawa - Delhi
Day 1 Delhi
Late night arrival in Delhi and be met by our representative at the airport
welcoming you to India with fresh flower garlands. Transfer to the hotel for
immediate occupancy of the rooms already reserved for you.
Day 2 Delhi
Today explore the city of Delhi visiting Red Fort and thereafter a rickshaw
drive up to Jama masjid through the busy streets of Chandni chowk. Thereafter
continue to visit India Gate and Government buildings, Humayun’s Tomb and
Qutub Minar.Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 Agra
Early morning drive from Delhi to Agra(220 kms 5.5 hrs) stopping enroute to
visit Sikandra - tomb of the Great Mughal emperor Akbar. On reaching Agra,
visit the Agra Fort with its exquisitely rich palaces and the magnificent
Taj Mahal-about which legion of tributes have been written. Overnight in Agra
after a hectic and most satisfying tour of Agra.
Day 4 Fatehpur Sikri, Jaipur
Enroute to Jaipur from Agra(240 kms 6 hours) you will visit Fatehpur Sikri
- a palace complex and housing the famous Buland Darwaza. On the way a brief
stop over at Bharatpur bird sanctuary-breeding ground for Siberian crane during
the season. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 5 Jaipur
Early morning drive to the Fort of Amer about 11 kms from Jaipur. The fort
is a superb example of Rajput architecture stunningly situated on a hilltop
and over looking a lake, which reflects its terraces and ramparts. A joyful
and adventurous ride on an elephant back up to the ramparts. The other half
of the day is spent in a visit around the pink city visiting the great city
palace with its majestic grounds the ancient 18th century Observatory and
Hawa Mahal (palace of winds). Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 6 Jodhpur
Morning drive through Rajasthan countryside on way to Jodhpur (340 kms 8 hrs).
The road from Jaipur to Jodhpur is full of scenic views and a lovely landscape.
Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 7 -Safari Day 1
Early morning drive to Shergarh. Shergarh is the place in the heart of the
desert where the camel safari begins. Here at Shergarh you are acquainted
with the safari rules and do’s and don’ts. Spend the nights in tents.
Day 8 -Safari Day 2
The day begins with a preparation for the safari. The passengers are hoisted
on to the camel back, feet in stirrups and driver at the back on a fodder
bag. Here begins the camel journey to Rajmathai. Overnight in tents.
Day 9- Safari Day 3
Resuming the camel safari on its journey from Rajmathai to Baisara. Overnight
in tents.
Day 10- Safari Day 4
Baisara to Raisala on the camel back. This is where the camel leaves your
company. Overnight in tents.
Day 11- Jaisalmer
Raisala to Jaisalmer by jeeps. The hurtling along of the jeep on the dusty
desert road gives the camel safari adventure a new angle. Overnight in Jaisalmer
hotel with proper rooms and beds after 4 nights of sleeping in tents.
Day 12 - Jaisalmer
Full day in Jaisalmer visiting the fort and the Havelis that dot all along
both sides of the narrow streets. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 13 - Bikaner
Early morning, today drive to Bikaner(320 kms 8 hrs) reaching there in the
afternoon and visiting the spectacular Bikaner Palace. Overnight in Bikaner.
Day 14 - Deshnok - Mandawa
After a relaxed morning visit the famous rat temple in Deshnok on the way
to Mandawa. Reach Mandawa(185 kms 4.5 hrs) early evening and relax in a heritage
hotel of Mandawa.
Day 15 - Delhi
In the morning visit the Havelis with richly painted frescoes which speak
of rich cultural heritage. Afternoon drive(240 kms 6 hrs) to Delhi international
airport to connect your onward flight back home.
