Destination: Delhi - Leh - Lamayuru - Leh - Delhi
Day 1 - Delhi - Late night arrival in Delhi and
be met by our representative at the airport welcoming you to India with fresh
flower garlands. Transfer to the hotel for immediate occupancy of the rooms
already reserved for you.
Day 2 Delhi - Today explore the city of Delhi visiting
Red Fort and thereafter a rickshaw drive up to Jama Masjid through the busy
streets of Chandni chowk. Thereafter continue to visit India Gate and Government
buildings, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutab Minar. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 -Leh - Transfer to airport for flight to Leh.
The flight takes you over some of the most breath taking views in the world.
Once you reach Leh spend time at the hotel in leisure and go for a short walk
to acclimatise yourself. Overnight in Leh.
Day 4 -Leh - Full day excursion to shey Tikse and
Hemis monastries. Shey was the summer palace of the kings of Ldakh. Tikse
gompa is 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is very picturesque and situated on
a hilltop overlooking Indus. Hemis gompa famous for its Hemis fest is 45 kms
from Leh and is situated on the western side of India. Overnight in Leh.
Day 5 -Leh - Full day excursion to Stok, Shankar,
Spitak and Phyang monasteries. Sankar Gompa is around two kms north of the
town center. Spitak is 10 kms from Leh on a hill top and gives fine views
of Indus. About 24 kms outside Leh is situated Phyang gompa with 50 resident
monks. Overnight in Leh.
Day 6- Lanayuru - Overnight excursion of Alchi,
Likir and Lamayuru monasteries. The night you spend in Lamayuru tents.
Day 7- Leh - Return back to Leh and overnight at
Leh.
Day 8- Delhi - Transfer to airport for return flight
for Delhi.
Day 9 - Half day tour of the National Museum. Late
evening departure for airport for onward flight.
