Bekal Fort
The fort with historical and archaeological significance affords a magnificent
view of the sea from its tall observation towers. This is the largest and
best-preserved fort in Kerala. The Fort is perched atop a hill.It gives a
strategic view of the countryside.
Fort at Chandragiri
The fort, a large squarish one by the side of a river, is at Chandragiri,
south-east of Kasargode. It was built in the 17th century by Sivappa Nayaka
of Bedanore.
Manjeshwaram
It is a little cashew-rich town at the northern tip of the district. It is
the memorial to Govinda Pai, the grand patriarch of Kannada literature.

Air : The nearest airport at Mangalore, 73 km away.
Rail : Kasargode, a major stop between Mangalore and Kannur.
Road : N H 17 goes through Kasargode. Kasargode-Puthoor(
Karnataka) road leads to Madikkery, Mysore and Bangalore. KSRTC operates buses
to Mangalore and several parts of Kerala.
