Day 1 - Delhi
Late night arrival in Delhi and be met by our representative at the airport
welcoming you to India with fresh flower garlands. Transfer to the hotel for
immediate occupancy of the rooms already reserved for you.
Day 2 - Delhi
Today explore the city of Delhi visiting RedFort and thereafter a rickshaw
drive up to Jama Masjid through the busy streets of Chandni chowk. Thereafter
continue to visit India Gate and Govt. Buildings, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutab
Minar. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 - Jaipur
Travel by good roads to Jaipur reaching by lunch time ( 260 kms 6 hrs drive).
Afternoon city tour to see the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the ancient 18th
century Observatory, the huge City Palace, Markets and Bazars. Overnight in
Jaipur.
Day 4 - Jaipur
Early morning visit to the Fort of Amer which was the capital of ancient Rajputs.
Ride up to the gates on elephant back and explore the great fortress palace
buildings. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 5 - Agra
In the morning continue by road via the superb ruined city of Fatehpur Sikri
to Agra ( 240 kms 6 hrs). In the evening visit the exquisite Taj Mahal and
relish the spectacular sight at sunset. Overnight in Agra.
Day 6 - Agra
Full day city tour of Agra. Visit Sikandra, the tomb of the great Mughal Emperor
Akbar, the Agra Fort with private chambers of Shahjehan. You will also have
the chance to visit the shops of marble inlay and observe craftsmen at inlay
work. Overnight in Agra.
Day 7 - Orcha
Early morning transfer to railway station to board Shatabdi Express train
to Jhansi. Visit Orchha (20 kms) where you see the Ramraja Temple and the
Chaturbuj Temple and also witness murals at Jehangiri palace. Overnight at
Orchha.
Day 8 - Khajuraho
In the morning drive from Orchha to Khauraho (180 kms-4 hrs drive). In the
afternoon visit the Khajuraho temples. These temples were built between 9th
century and 12th century A.D. and are the most exquisite specimen of Hindu
architecture and sculpture in medieval India. Though erotic sculptures are
the main attraction to common visitor, these erotic figures are only part
of sublime and sensuality. Overnight in Khajuraho.
Day 9 - Varanasi
Transfer to airport for flight to Varanasi. In the afternoon excursion
to Saranath - 10 kms from Varanasi, one of the major Buddhist centres. Take
a look at magnificient stupa and mighty stone pillar erected by the legendry
king Ashoka. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 10 - Delhi
Early morning boat ride in the river Ganges to apprise you of the various
Hindu rituals taking place at the bathing ghats, also witness the wonderful
sunrise from the river Ganges. On the way back you will visit the Bharat Mata
temple, the exteriors of Vishwanath temple and the Durga temple in the holy
city of Varanasi. Early evening proceed to the airport to connect flight for
Delhi. On arrival in Delhi transfer to the international airport to connect
flight back home.
