National Park-Mumbai
Day 1 - Delhi
Late night arrival and be met by our representative at the airport welcoming
you to India with fresh flower garlands. Transfer to the hotel for immediate
occupancy of the rooms already reserved for you.
Day 2 Delhi
Today explore the city of Delhi visiting Red Fort and thereafter a rickshaw
drive up to Jama Masjid through the busy streets of Chandni chowk. Thereafter
continue to visit India Gate and Government buildings, Humayun’s Tomb and
Qutab Minar. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 Sariska
Early morning departure for Sariska by road ( 190 kms 5 hrs) a sanctuary in
wooded valley surrounded by barren mountains. Sariska park inhabits blue bulls,
Sambar, Spotted deer, Wild boar.Overnight in Sariska.
Day 4 Ranthambore National park
Early morning departure for Ranthambor National Park (262 kms 7 hrs).
Evening visit to the park. Overnight in Sawai Madhopur.
Day 5 - Sawai Madhopur - Bharatpur
In the morning again another visit to the park where you will have a chance
to see Hynas, Jackals, Jungle cats, Chital, Panthers and possibility of the
famous Indian Tiger if you are lucky. After return from the park and after
some relaxation, continue your drive for Bharatpur bird sanctuary (238 kms
6 hrs). Reach there by evening. Overnight in heritage hotel property.
Day 6 - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
In the morning visit the bird sanctuary on a cycle rickshaw. Thereafter continue
your journey to Agra enroute visiting FatehpurSikri (33 kms)- the palace complex
so devotedly constructed by the great Mughal emperor Akbar and the shrine
of Sheikh Salim Chisti. On arrival in Agra (36 kms) in the evening visit the
Taj Mahal about which any thing written will not be sufficient. Overnight
in Agra.
Day 7 -Khajuraho
Morning transfer to the railway station to connect Shatabdi express train
for Jhansi and travel by road to Khajuraho(200 kms 5 hrs). In the afternoon
half day tour of the Khajuraho temples. These temples were built between 9th
century and 12th century AD and are the most exquisite specimen of Hindu architecture
and sculpture in medieval India.
Day 8 - Bandavgarh National Park
Early morning departure by road to Bandhavgarh National Park through the rugged
countryside reaching there by noon (300 kms 8 hrs). In the evening visit to
the park which supports animals such as Panther, Nilgai, wild boar, jackal,
gaaur, Sambaar and porcupine and many species of birds in addition to tiger.
Park excursions can be on elephant back or on jeeps. Overnight in a simple
lodge Bandhavgarh.
Day 9 Bandavgarh
In the morning again pay visit to the national park hoping to see the wild
cats. Overnight in Bandhavgarh.
Day 10 Kanha
Early morning departure for Kanha National Park (332 kms 8 hrs) through picturesque
landscape which rapidly changes reaching there by noon . Overnight in simple
lodge at Kanha.
Day 11 Kanha National Parks
The whole day today will be an adventurous day with two excursions of the
park either on elephant back or in jeeps, one in the morning or one in the
evening. The Kanha National Park with its lightly wooded and interspersed
rivers streams and canals make up for an excellent landscape. The park is
very well organised and it is almost guaranteed that you will have at least
one encounter with the tiger. Overnight in Kanha lodge.
Day 12 - Nagpur or Mumbai
In the morning again a short excursion inside the park and thereafter continue
your drive to Nagpur approximately seven hours (280 kms) drive away. Overnight
in Nagpur or in case you reach Nagpur airport in time to connect flight to
Mumbai, overnight in Mumbai.
Day 13 - Arrival Mumbai.
Half-day city tour of Mumbai and late evening transfer to airport for onward
destination.
